11/6/24 - Eyes on Christ

Hi Men. I was listening to Trump’s victory speech and just meditating on the spirit of elections. There is often so much hope and faith placed in these world leaders. The disappointment that follows (not to mention felt by many when the election is decided) is a tale as old as time. This is not a comment on Trump or any individual leader, but more an observation of the human heart - one that we see in the Old Testament over and over again - a story where faith and hope are placed in worldly power and leaders. This reality is one that we live in. Every one of your friends, family members, professors, etc, has a hunger for goodness, peace, love and hope - things are found in God. So, my personal prayer is that this election would be a reminder that the only real agent of true healing in this world comes from a fruitful relationship with God and His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. May we as Heroic Men step into this broken world in desperate need of healing with THIS hope, which never fades. It bears fruit in season and out. Let’s turn our eyes to the needy among us and share the Gospel today.
