A Heartfelt Farewell: Reflecting on 8 Years at NYU Langone

Today marks my last day with NYU Langone's Department of Radiology, a place I've called home for nearly 8 years. As I reflect on this chapter closing, I am overwhelmed with emotions. My colleagues surprised me with a feast, cake, flowers, and greeting cards, each filled with well-wishes for my future journey.

I found myself unexpectedly moved to tears, especially when I received a second cake, a tangible symbol of the love and joy that surrounded me. My boss's heartfelt farewell, complete with tears and reassurance that I'll always have a place to turn, touched me deeply.

Throughout the day, there were hugs, smiles, and pictures shared as we all embraced the bittersweetness of parting ways. The outpouring of love and support has left an indelible mark on my heart.

While I will miss this place dearly, I trust that God has a plan for me. I am grateful for the friendships made, lessons learned, and memories cherished during my time here.

To my NYU Langone family, thank you for everything. Until we meet again, Gramercy.

Warm regards,

Alan
