And the Sea Gave Up the Dead Which Were in It

Tripped across this painting by Sir Frederic Leighton, originally intended to be a roundel decorating the spandrels of St Paul's Cathedral's dome, in London, depicting a scene from Revelation.

Read a few interpretations of it but I had one from a “heroic men” / strengthening the family lens. The image could represent a rightly oriented man pulling his family towards what is highest, out of their spiritual death and towards life in the Lord. If you notice the man has more life and vibrancy to his skin as he looks upwards, rousing his wife and child as he journeys forward. Correspondingly, there is another man, holding on to himself, seemingly content to sink to the depths, as opposed to striving towards what is greatest.

Just my two cents, but I thought I would share for consideration and conversation, based on the desired mandate of this group.
