Brothers in Christ,
I am filled with gratitude to stand before you at this Heroic Men’s Summit at Christ Cathedral. This gathering is a powerful testament to the strength of our faith and the unity we find in our journey together.
In the spirit of this brotherhood, I felt inspired to write a poem titled "From Shadows to Light: A Journey of True Brotherhood." It was a profound honor to read this poem here at the summit, and I am humbled by the opportunity to share it with all of you now.
May these words reflect the love and devotion we hold in our hearts for God and one another. May they inspire us to continue striving towards holiness and leadership in our families and communities. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey with me.
From Shadows to Light: A Journey of True Brotherhood
In the streets, where shadows loom large and fierce, I found a brotherhood, forged in a fire of survival, A bond of blood, not of birth, but of choice, Where loyalty was a shield, and unity a weapon.
Among the Bloods, I stood tall, A family of necessity, where trust was sacred, But the shadows of our actions weighed heavy, And the night often brought a silence filled with regret.
Yet, in the midst of the chaos, a light pierced through, A whisper of a different kind of brotherhood, Not bound by fear or defiance, But by love, grace, and redemption.
The day I stepped into the church, weary and broken, I was met not with judgment, but with open arms, A new brotherhood, in the blood of Christ, Where every scar was a testament, and every tear a prayer.
Here, I learned that true strength lies not in might, But in humility, in the willingness to forgive, In the courage to seek forgiveness, And in the grace to start anew.
This brotherhood, unlike any I had known, Was not of survival, but of salvation, Not of dominance, but of discipleship, Bound not by shared battles, but by shared faith.
Together, we kneel at the altar, hearts unburdened, Hands clasped in prayer, lifting each other up, Our stories, once filled with strife, now sing of hope, In the sacred blood that washes us clean.
Here, I have found my true brothers, In the blood of Christ, we are one, Not by chance, but by divine design, A family of faith, a testament to God’s redeeming love.
Authentic brotherhood, I now understand, Is found not in the battles we fight alone, But in the battles we overcome together, In the light of Christ, where love conquers all.
