Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion

Good morning brothers,

I had the gift of being an EMHC for the first time yesterday, and I found the experience to be quite intense. I am curious, for those who have served in this way, is there anything specific you did or do to prepare yourself spiritually to distribute the Eucharist?
