Fascinating tweet from a therapist who has dealt with couples. I don’t know anything further about him beyond this tweet thread. But I think it’s true that powerlessness leads to emasculation.

Our culture has done a lot to strip men of identity and dignity. Young men today have few internal resources stored up on the inside to push back, like the Old Guard who come from a different era.

Young men today only know that we are toxic for merely existing - and that’s a surefire recipe for never getting out of bed, never making a chance, never stepping off the sidelines.
