Loneliness and life expectancy

This is a gut punch: “Those who were more lonely were about 40 percent more likely to die over the next four years, while those who were socially isolated were about 75 percent more likely to die.”

Animals alone in the wild die faster than those in community. Men must live in brotherhood, and humans must live in community. We live longer together.

The challenge then is to find the right community - because you can still feel alone even in a crowd.
