Prayer for our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV

O Lord Jesus Christ, Shepherd and Head of Your Holy Church, we humbly beseech You to pour forth Your abundant grace upon our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV.

Strengthen him with the wisdom of the apostles, the courage of the martyrs, and the faith of the saints.

Grant him the humility of Peter, the zeal of Paul, and the unwavering trust of John, that he may guide Your flock with a shepherd’s heart and a father’s love.

May he boldly proclaim the truth in a world shrouded in confusion, defend the sacred traditions entrusted to the Church, and lead the faithful toward the eternal light of Your Kingdom.

Protect him from all harm, preserve his heart in holiness, and may his reign be a beacon of hope, unity, and truth for all Your people.

We entrust Pope Leo XIV to the loving care of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that through her intercession, he may reign with the strength of faith, the purity of heart, and the steadfastness of spirit needed to fulfill his sacred office.

Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
