Saint Dominic, ora pro nobis 💪🔥✝️
Brothers,
This morning at Mass, we celebrated the feast of Saint Dominic, the great preacher and founder of the Order of Preachers (the Dominicans). As I knelt in prayer, I reflected on the profound legacy Saint Dominic left the Church, his unshakable commitment to truth, his boldness in preaching the Gospel, and his deep humility rooted in prayer and sacrifice.
Saint Dominic was a man on mission. He burned with zeal to save souls, to confront error with clarity and charity, and to raise up men who would be bold proclaimers of Christ in a dark and confused world. He was courageous not just in speech, but in prayer and penance. He led by example. He wept for sinners. He battled heresy not with violence or pride, but with truth and love.
What does that mean for us?
We, too, are called to be preachers; not necessarily from pulpits, but in our homes, our workplaces, and in the witness of our daily lives. In a culture that often rejects truth, we must be men of the Word, men formed in Christ, men who speak boldly but love deeply.
Like Saint Dominic, let us pray fervently for the salvation of souls. Let us learn our faith, speak truth clearly, and never shy away from the call to lead others to Christ. Our mission isn’t comfort. It’s conversion; starting with our own hearts.
Let Saint Dominic be a model for us as we grow in ministry to men. Let’s seek truth, live in grace, and raise up a generation of men forged in the fire of faith
