Today's Reflectionđź’›
"Therefore I prayed, and understanding was given me; I called on God, and the spirit of wisdom came to me."~Wisdom 7:7
Today, we celebrate the feast of our brother, St. Thomas Aquinas, O.P. There is a lot to be said about him, but if Thomas himself were to be here, he would prefer to remain the "dumb Sicilian Ox". In a vision before his death, Christ said to him "You have written well of me Thomas, what reward will you receive from me for your labour?" Thomas answered "Domine, non nisi Te” (Lord, nothing except you). Nothing could satisfy Thomas Aquinas the angelic doctor, except the Lord himself, in possessing Christ the source of all wisdom, he possessed all things.
